Hi everyone. I have been on Mtx for 11 weeks. I was so ill with the tablets that I changed to injections 4 weeks ago. I think there is a slight improvement but I am only on 10 mg and was on 20 mg orally so maybe it's the reduced dose that has helped. However I still don't feel right. I am nauseous for days after the jab and then just start to get back to feeling human again when it's time for the next dose. I really don't want to feel like this forever. I also feel so wiped out that I just want to be in bed. Maybe it's the RA making me feel like this or it could be the Mtx. I don't know. Has anyone else had these problems with Mtx?, and if so was there a solution. Have I persevered enough yet? I am seeing the consultant just before Christmas so want to be prepared if there is anything I could ask for which might help.

Hi Naomi, Sorry your feeling so rough Im never well after mtx and Ive swapped back and fore between inj and tablets for the last 2 years whenever I say anything though they put it down to the RA. Are you taking anything for the nausea? I take domperidone it helps a bit. Fingers crossed it settles down can you ring your rheummy nurse? love Ceri xx

Hi Ceri I've never heard of this anti-nausea drug before but will ask about it when I see the consultant. I am a bit reluctant to keep adding to my long list of medicines but can't cope with this much longer so will consider anything. Maybe MTX is just not for me but I'm not sure if things will settle after a few more weeks/months. Naomi X
